Requirements

  • Valid CDL required for the position.
  • Successful candidates will be required to maintain hazardous materials and tanker endorsements on CDL.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; no prior industry experience necessary.
  • Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) with no preventable accident history.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and train in a new profession.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on demand.
  • Capable of maneuvering vehicles and equipment in confined environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and accurately apply litter amendments in poultry facilities according to customer specifications.
  • Operate and maintain application equipment, including trucks and specialized machinery.
  • Monitor application rates and adjust equipment settings as needed.
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for handling, loading, and applying chemicals such as chlorine-based solutions, acids, pesticides, and disinfectants.
  • Deliver exceptional service by being punctual, professional, and responsive to customer needs.
  • Adhere to all biosecurity and safety protocols while handling chemicals and operating equipment.
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including masks, gloves, boot coverings, and eye/ear protection.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used, application rates, and service details.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding hazardous materials.
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on application equipment.
  • Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections to ensure safe and efficient operations.
