About The Position

HealthRIGHT 360, a nonprofit organization, is dedicated to providing accessible and comprehensive healthcare services to vulnerable populations. Our mission is to address systemic barriers to healthcare and promote health equity. We offer a broad spectrum of services including mental health care, substance use treatment (residential and outpatient), and primary health services. We also provide transitional support for individuals re-entering the community after criminal justice involvement. By integrating physical and behavioral health, we aim to empower individuals to overcome challenges through addressing social determinants of health, fostering resilience, and facilitating recovery. The Custodian will be responsible for providing custodial and janitorial services for the Healthright360 1563 Mission location, ensuring high-quality customer service and meeting the facilities' needs.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience working successfully with diverse populations specifically with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self sufficiency.
  • Experience working with people who use drugs and people experiencing homelessness.
  • First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Knowledge of custodial practices and procedures including sanitation.

Responsibilities

  • Empties out all trashcans in all exam rooms, offices, pantries, and rest rooms at least twice a day.
  • Dusts all offices, including meeting rooms, group rooms, board rooms, Training rooms, Front lobbies, Clinic Exam rooms each time a patient finishes being examined or as needed.
  • Performs front of building sidewalk cleaning and pressure washes as needed.
  • Cleans windows as needed.
  • Sweeps floors daily.
  • Cleans all 21 restrooms.
  • Replenishes all paper towels, toilet paper, seat covers and hand soap dispensers to ensure they are full at all times.
  • Responsible for mopping up all spills and taking all cardboard and trash to the trash area in the garage.
  • Attends internal program staff meetings, clinical, and administrative supervision including regular shift meetings and various ad hoc meetings.
  • Takes ownership with the team to ensure the overall quality of customer and health services at the program.
  • Participates in ongoing trainings on harm reduction, Narcan use, drug and alcohol use/intoxication/withdrawal, motivational interviewing, customer service, trauma-informed care, team-based care, and other related topics.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
