About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the buildings and grounds to ensure the neatness and cleanliness of the same on a daily basis. The role involves a variety of tasks to ensure the property is safe, clean, and well-maintained.

Requirements

High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Six months experience performing general housekeeping duties
Ability to meet attendance requirements.
Ability to read, write and communicate the English language.
Ability to exert the physical energy required to performing housekeeping and minor maintenance work.
Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and climbing.
Valid State Driver's License.

Responsibilities

Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks and toilets, polishes mirrors, and replenishes supplies.
Sweeps, vacuums, mops, buffs, and waxes floors; sweeps sidewalks.
Strips and waxes floors as needed.
Cleans windows; dusts and polishes furniture and fixtures.
Cleans dining area.
Empties trash cans regularly; collects trash from grounds.
Ensures property inside and outside the Center of Hope building are in a safe and good working order.
Maintains an updated inventory of equipment and appliances for the Center of Hope.
Oversees and schedules quarterly vent cleaning in all rooms.
Assists in setting up meeting rooms; sets up tables and chairs; puts ice in glasses and sets out drinks.
Assists in monitoring light fixtures to ensure all light bulbs are in working order; replaces light bulbs, as necessary.
