About The Position

The Janitorial Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and organized distribution center environment. This role supports daily operations by performing general cleaning and sanitation duties throughout warehouse, office, breakroom, restroom, and common areas. The associate ensures facility cleanliness standards are met while supporting a safe and productive workplace for all employees.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, write, and follow basic work instructions.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace cleanliness and safety.
• Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or facilities experience.
• Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Experience operating floor scrubbers, sweepers, or other custodial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain warehouse floors using sweepers, scrubbers, mops, and other cleaning equipment.
• Empty trash and recycling containers throughout the facility.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, locker rooms, breakrooms, training rooms, and office spaces.
• Dust, wipe, and disinfect surfaces, tables, fixtures, and touchpoints.
• Clean windows, doors, walls, and other facility surface as needed.
• Replenish paper products, soap, sanitizer, and other janitorial supplies.
• Maintain cleanliness of warehouse aisles, staging areas, docks, and pedestrian walkways.
• Respond to spills, leaks, and other housekeeping issues promptly.
• Support facility appearance standards before, during, and after shift operations.
• Assist with special cleaning projects and facility events as assigned.
• Safely collect and dispose of waste materials according to company procedures.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Utilize appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, or facility issues immediately.
• Properly store and handle cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized janitorial storage area.
