About The Position

Maintains the cleanliness of the facility to meet client satisfaction. This role involves performing major janitorial cleaning tasks, including vacuuming, wet mopping, sweeping, dusting, and emptying trash. The custodian will also clean and disinfect restrooms and drinking fountains, wash windows, and restock supplies. The position requires the ability to work overtime and weekends as needed, and involves frequent stair climbing, bending, and standing.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must pass a background check.
• Effective interpersonal/communication skills.
• Ability to understand written and verbal communications.
• Ability to understand verbal instructions.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
• Effective grooming skills.
• Able to operate electronic devices for clocking in/out procedures.
• Ability to operate vacuums and other related equipment.
• Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplies.
• Ability to lift, push/pull, and manipulate heavy objects up to 55 pounds.
• Valid Drivers’ License Class C.

Responsibilities

• Perform major janitorial cleaning tasks such as vacuuming (using a 25 lb. vacuum daily for 3-4 hours), wet mopping, sweeping, dusting, and emptying out the trash (lifting wastepaper and debris-minimum of 55 lbs.)
• Clean and disinfect drinking fountains, and restrooms, including floors and all fixtures (i.e.: Urinals, Toilets, Sinks, Mirrors, Partitions, and Counters).
• Fill dispensers and stock supplies in restrooms.
• Wash Windows and Sill (Door Glass).
• Work overtime and on weekends as necessary to meet events and facility schedules.
• Walk up and down stairs frequently, as well as regular bending and standing as needed in a daily shift.
• Perform other related duties as required.
