Custodian
About The Position
Datrose and RIT are seeking a Custodian to provide cleaning services across the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) campus. This is a 6-month temporary-to-hire position with the possibility of becoming a permanent employee. Shifts are available Monday-Friday, 5:00 AM - 1:30 PM, with a pay rate of $16.50/hr. Requirements
- High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must have reliable transportation to RIT.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and complete workload in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Nice To Haves
- May be required to lift up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining the cleanliness of assigned work locations.
- Cleaning and maintaining living areas, event set-up and tear-down, offices, hallways, classrooms, restrooms, cafeterias, storage areas, entrances and lobbies.
- Emptying garbage cans and recyclables.
- Sweeping, vacuuming, and mopping various types of flooring.
- Setting up and removing tables, chairs, and other furniture as needed for campus events.
- Other duties as assigned.
