While previous experience in janitorial, housekeeping, or a related field is preferred, it is not mandatory. We are an equal opportunity employer. -Benefits offered: Healthcare plan option (medical, vision, prescription drug insurance), vacation pay, holiday pay, a 401(k) plan, direct deposit available, flexible spending option and competitive wages. -Status: Full-time -Position: Custodian -Location: Lihue, HI 96766 -Schedule: 1st shift 6:00am to 2:30pm, 2nd shift 2:00pm to 10:30pm Sunday - Saturday -Compensation per hour: $16.48 -Key Responsibilities: Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and maintaining cleanliness in common areas by ensuring the cleaning of the food court, restrooms, offices, walk paths, and storage areas. This involves tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors; dusting furniture and fixtures; clean and sanitizing ten restrooms; disposing of trash; and restocking supplies such as hand soap, toilet paper and paper towels. Notify the appropriate HBM employee regarding necessary supplies and equipment. Ability to drive a golf cart to reach designated areas within the work location. Perform deep cleaning tasks such as carpet and window cleaning when required. Utilize a leaf blower and strictly adhere to safety procedures. Report any safety issues or building problems, such as burnt light bulbs. Multi-task and work efficiently, both independently and as part of a team. Uphold professionalism and customer service standards at all times while communicating effectively with supervisors and co-workers. Perform any other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Must pass HBM prescreen.
Valid driver’s license is required.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English.
Strong public relations and communication skills.
Applicants should be able to perform basic manual labor, clean common areas, and frequently lift, push, pull, or carry a minimum of 25 lbs (up to 50 lbs).
Candidates must also be able to reach overhead, grasp objects, bend, kneel, crawl, squat, climb, stretch, walk, and stand throughout their shifts.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in janitorial / janitorial work, housekeeping, maintenance or related fields is preferred.
High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities
