About The Position

GRBS is seeking individuals 18 years of age or older with a positive attitude, who are team players, customer service focused, dependable, self-motivated, hard-working, and have reliable transportation to join our team at Belding Area Schools. This is a temporary position that will last until June 30th, 2026. The role involves general cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, and removing trash. Additionally, there are leadership responsibilities for supervisor positions, including training new team members, leading the team, managing, and holding team accountability. This is an active role requiring you to be on your feet, moving and cleaning. Travel within the school district using your own vehicle is required, with mileage reimbursement and paid drive time provided. Requirements

  • 18 years of age or older with valid ID.

  • Individuals with theft, violence, or drug-related backgrounds will not qualify for employment due to Michigan public schools requirements.
  • Be available for at least 3 days a week and 3 hours per night.
  • Ability to be on your feet, moving and cleaning.

Responsibilities

  • General cleaning tasks including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, and removing trash.
  • Ensure all exterior doors are secured by completing perimeter door pulls.
  • Follow up and close out of customer concerns.
  • Walk building to ensure quality standards are upheld.
  • Training of new team members.
  • Lead, manage, and hold team accountability.
  • Travel throughout the school district using your own vehicle.
  • Other cleaning tasks as assigned.
