About The Position

Madison College has an opportunity for a Custodian to join the team in a full time capacity. This role involves hands-on manual tasks related to a range of custodial duties. What sets this position apart from other custodians is the level of effort and autonomy it demands. While receiving instructions from supervisors or lead custodians, it doesn't oversee peers at the same level and isn't the sole custodian for a particular building. The Engineering/Operations Manager or Facilities Custodial Supervisor provides guidance, with potential additional input from the custodial lead worker for exceptional tasks. The Custodian may also involve directing the work of and receive assistance from student help, temporary workers, and work study personnel. This position includes an expected progression plan. Upon meeting the outlined criteria, you will be eligible to receive a $1.00 per hour increase. Madison College believes every team member brings unique perspectives and experiences that enhance our ability to understand and engage with the communities we serve, address challenges, and develop innovative solutions.
