About The Position

Koniag Professional Services (KPS), a Koniag Government Services company, is hiring custodians. This is a union position. All benefits will be provided by the CBA. The Custodian reports to the Lead Custodian and is responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy environment. This role covers various areas, including offices, restrooms, common areas, and exterior grounds.

Requirements

Capable of performing heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, and washing walls.
Experience in custodial care projects.
Able to lift 50 lbs.
Demonstrate clear written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Clean entrances, lobbies, corridors, offices, conference rooms, and work areas.
Empty wastebaskets and trash receptacles.
Dust high and low surfaces, clean/polish soiled surfaces.
Vacuum carpets, perform light spot removal, and wash windows and glass surfaces.
Monitor and maintain carpet and floor appearances.
Perform carpet spot and deep cleaning.
Manual scrub, buff, strip, and refinish floors.
Clean and sanitize restrooms (toilets, sinks, mirrors).
Restock restroom supplies (toilet paper, soap, paper towels).
Sanitize high-touch surfaces (door handles, light switches, handrails).
Clean and disinfect common areas.
Inspect equipment for cleanliness.
Perform minor repairs and maintenance on equipment.
Remove debris and litter from grounds and walkways.
Report maintenance issues or safety hazards.
Assist with setup/cleanup for special events.
Follow federal facility cleaning protocols and regulations.
