About The Position

This is a 12-month custodial position with evening hours, working from 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and safety in district facilities, specifically the WSD Transportation Facility and the Support Services Building.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Previous custodial or cleaning experience preferred.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks, including bending, stooping, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Must be reliable and punctual.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a school or institutional setting.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to cleaning.

Responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitizing surfaces.
• Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal.
• Clean and restock restrooms.
• Maintain the cleanliness of common areas, offices, and other assigned spaces.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the supervisor.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines.
• May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
