About The Position

Under the direction of the Principal or designee, performs a variety of routine and specialized custodial duties in the care and maintenance of a school building and grounds; performs related work as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to perform routine custodial tasks.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and materials.
• Ability to operate custodial equipment.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• Previous custodial experience.
• Knowledge of safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, dusts, mops, waxes, and buffs floors.
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms, showers, and locker rooms.
• Empties trash and recycling receptacles.
• Cleans windows, walls, chalkboards, and fixtures.
• Performs minor repairs and maintenance.
• Operates and maintains custodial equipment.
• Assists with groundskeeping duties as needed.
• Reports safety hazards and custodial needs to supervisor.
• Follows safety procedures and guidelines.
