About The Position
Keel was formed by bringing together three industry leaders combining generations of hands-on expertise in steel fabrication, shipbuilding, aerospace, and defense manufacturing. As a Custodian for Keel, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our large manufacturing facility and occasionally assisting the maintenance staff. The shift is Days, Monday - Friday, 6:00 am to 4:30 pm.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning products required.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions, such as those on cleaning product labels.
- Good communication skills and the ability to prioritize with minimal supervision.
Nice To Haves
- 1+ years of janitorial/custodial experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Cleaning walls, floors, equipment, or any other areas of the facility as needed.
- Restocking cleaning supplies and maintaining janitor closets in an organized, safe manner.
- Waste disposal, managing coolant supplies and waste system, and general sanitation of the facilities.
- General maintenance duties such as equipment and lighting.
- Assisting maintenance mechanics with their tasks occasionally.
- Other related duties as assigned.
