About The Position

The Custodian position at Montgomery County Community College is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment at the College. This is a full-time, 2nd shift position working from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm, 40 hours per week, at the Blue Bell Campus. The role requires a pre-employment drug screening. The hourly rate is $15.75, which includes a 5% shift differential. This position will remain open until filled.

Requirements

High school diploma, GED, or 1-2 years experience required
Valid Driver’s License required
Must be physically capable of performing all duties on job description
Must be able to communicate effectively
Ability to read, write, and follow routine instructions
Ability to work within a team-oriented setting
Must be able to lift trash containers weighing up to 30 pounds and deposit bags in larger trash container on trash cart.
Must be able to perform bending, stretching, kneeling repetitive movements such as those involved in sweeping, vacuuming, dusting, polishing, washing walls & chalkboards, cleaning/sanitizing restrooms, or shoveling snow.
Must be able to perform repeated bending of knees and kneeling for extended periods of time while removing accumulated buildup from baseboards and edges of walls and floors.
Must be able to perform repeated climbing and balancing on ladders for extended periods of time while changing lights, high-dusting ball lights, window ledges, etc.
Must be able to push & pull and lift & carry for extended periods of time while delivering and moving equipment and supplies.
