About The Position

This is a 12-month evening position for a Custodian at Gainesboro Elementary School. The position involves building cleaning and will work 11 months at Gainesboro Elementary and 1 month at the Facilities Services Department during the summer. The pay rate is based on the Custodian Salary Scale, with credit given for years of full-time experience in a related position. The start date is effective with the 2026-2027 school year.

Requirements

• High school graduate/GED or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skill, and abilities.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods, materials and equipment.
• Ability to use cleaning methods, materials, and equipment economically and efficiently.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal and written directions.
• Ability to get along well with others.

Nice To Haves

• Building cleaning experience preferred.
