About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of both the interior and exterior areas of the facility, including production areas, restrooms, offices, and common spaces, while complying with safety and environmental standards. This position will be based temporarily in NE San Antonio while our new manufacturing plant is coming online. Our permanent location is approximately 25 minutes away at Brooks, 7515 Inner Circle Dr., San Antonio, 78235. The position is also 100% in-office and does not offer remote work.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions from the maintenance team.
Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong time management skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness in a fast-paced environment.
Must be able to continuously lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to bend, squat, and climb.
Ability to see small or detailed items.
Ability to interpret, analyze, research and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Previous cleaning experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus

Responsibilities

Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in production area, break rooms, restrooms, hallways and office spaces.
Dust surfaces and wiping down furniture and fixtures.
Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in safe and environmentally responsible manner.
Clean and disinfect restrooms; replenish supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.) as needed.
Maintain cleanliness in all common areas including break rooms, Conference rooms, and entryways.
Ensure cleaning supplies are fully stocked and properly maintained.
Complete janitor checklists at the end of each shift.
Notify maintenance manager when repairs or maintenance are required.
Clean and sanitize refrigerators on a weekly basis.
Handle cleaning chemicals according to safety guidelines.
Follow safety protocols and war appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Perform routine cleaning tasks, including window washing, dusting, and surface cleaning.
Maintain supply order lists and submit them to the buyer for replenishment of cleaning supplies.
