About The Position
Our not-for-profit social service organization is seeking custodians for the Ability-One contract (employment for individuals with qualifying disabilities) to become valuable members of our Goodwill team! The custodian will be responsible for performing custodial duties on a day-to-day basis according to the specifications stated or as deemed necessary by supervisor.
Requirements
- Ability-One documentation required – signed documentation from a medical provider that certifies that an individual has a qualifying disability
- Must be able to pass an initial drug screen and then random screenings throughout employment.
- Must be able to pass the established Contract's Security Clearance.
- High School graduate or GED preferred.
- Custodial/ Janitorial experience preferred
- Must be able to work independently after being given a directive.
- Must follow chemical and emergency procedures once trained.
- Must be able to pass drug test (as well as random testing)
- Must pass clearance background checks under GSA contract.
- Available for Work Schedule: 10:30 am to 7:00 pm (M-F)
Responsibilities
- Cleans (sweeps, mops, etc.) restrooms, garage, docks, corridors, office floors, and entrances
- Empties trash containers daily
- Dusts appropriate areas
- Vacuum Carpets
- Keeps equipment clean and follows preventive maintenance schedule
- Wear safety equipment when and where required
- Other duties as assigned
