About The Position

This is a part-time Custodian position with working hours on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 4pm to 11pm. The hourly rate is $15.00. The role involves cleaning and maintaining various areas within general offices, schools, and common areas, ensuring a clean and sanitary environment. Responsibilities include floor care, restroom sanitation, waste removal, dusting, glass cleaning, and maintaining janitorial closets. The position requires adherence to a dress code, punctuality, and professional representation of the organization.

Requirements

Adhere to dress code; appearance is neat and clean.
Report to work on time and as scheduled.
Wear identification while on duty.
Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner at all times.
Comply with all organizational policies and standards regarding ethical business practices.
Communicate the mission, ethics, and goals of the organization.
Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.
Attend regular staff meetings and trainings.

Responsibilities

Sweep and/or damp mop hard surface floors.
Vacuum and spot clean carpeted floors.
Vacuum and/or sweep entrance lobby floors.
Sweep and/or damp mop kitchen/break room floors.
Sweep, mop, and rinse restroom floors with a disinfectant detergent.
Clean and sanitize restroom fixtures, including toilet bowls, urinals, and hand basins.
Clean mirrors and wipe down small partitions and tile walls.
Empty waste receptacles and place debris in designated areas or remove from building.
Replace liners in waste receptacles as needed.
Refill towel, tissue, hand soap, and feminine product dispensers.
Sift sand urns, empty soiled sand, and refill as needed in smoking areas.
Dust desks, filing cabinets, bookcases, chairs, tables, and other office furniture, dusting around personal items only.
Dust windowsills, low ledges, moldings, picture frames, and feather dust office machines.
Clean glass desktops and entrance doors, removing smudges.
Clean partition glass.
Clean and sanitize drinking fountains.
Damp wipe kitchen/break room tables, chairs, and appliances, and clean sinks.
Damp wipe counters and clean sinks in coffee service areas.
Use minimal lighting when working and turn off lights upon completion of nightly service.
Keep janitorial closets neat and orderly.
Check all locks and set alarms where necessary before leaving to ensure building security.
