Custodian Full-time
About The Position
Maintain clean stores, buildings and other facilities. The Custodian will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, dusting and wiping furniture, emptying wastebaskets and trash containers, and handling recycle materials. This role also involves assisting with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, and conferences. The Custodian will perform floor care duties such as stripping, cleaning, buffing, and applying sealer and finish to hard surface floors, as well as vacuuming and shampooing carpets. They will use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools, follow instructions for the safe use of chemicals and supplies, and perform outdoor cleaning tasks like snow and debris removal. The position requires demonstrating safe work practices, participating in safety training, and building customer satisfaction. Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent

Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, dust and wipe furniture, empty wastebaskets and trash containers, handles recycle materials.
- Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings, classrooms, conferences etc.
- Strip, clean, buff and apply floor sealer and floor finish to hard surface floors, vacuum and shampoo carpets.
- Use and maintain assigned power equipment and hand tools; buffers, vacuums, brooms, mops and squeegees for the cleaning and general maintenance of floors, walls, carpets, and furniture.
- Follow instructions regarding the safe use of chemicals and supplies.
- Perform cleaning and related activities such as removing snow or debris from sidewalks and stairs in areas within sixteen feet of building.
- Demonstrates safe work practices through awareness and observation in support of a safety culture; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
- Participates in annual safety training.
- Build and maintain internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
