About The Position

Fallbrook Union Elementary School District is a K-8 district. The successful candidate must be able to accomplish the following responsibilities in a friendly efficient, and professional manner: The Custodian will: Follow a schedule in the performance of custodial duties required to maintain assigned rooms, equipment, building and adjacent areas in a clean, orderly and secure manner. To do special cleaning and building maintenance periodically. Perform routine building maintenance tasks during periods of student recess. To do related work as required.

Requirements

Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
Possession of a valid California Driver's license and the ability to qualify for District vehicle insurance coverage.
DMV Printout - Current H-6 (dated within in the past 90 days)
Letter of Recommendation - 1 (within the last year and preferably from most recent employer)
Resume
Mandatory written test for this classification on Thursday, August 20, 2026 starting at 9:00 a.m. at the District Office in the Human Resources Department, at 321 Iowa Street, Fallbrook, CA 92028.
Satisfactory completion of a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screening test, fingerprint clearance with the Department of Justice and FBI, and a current verification of a negative T.B. test or chest x-ray.

Nice To Haves

Some previous custodial or janitorial work is desirable or any combination of training and experience that could likely provide the desired knowledge and abilities.
