About The Position

Trademasters Service, an award-winning federal contractor with over 30 years of industry experience, is seeking a Full-Time Janitorial Custodian for a prestigious federal office building in NE Washington, DC. This role is essential personnel and involves maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of assigned areas of the federal property and grounds. The position offers 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with flexibility required between 6 am and 6 pm, and potential for overtime. Access to the site is convenient via the Metro Red Line, NOMA Gallaudet University stop.

Requirements

2 years of related experience, preferably in a federal office environment.
Experience with cleaning equipment such as snow removal and floor buffers.
Must pass a federal background check and Department of Justice (DOJ) security clearance to obtain and hold badging to access federal secured properties. This can take three (3) to four (4) months before getting hired. Must follow all badging requirements and will require visits to the federal site.
Pass pre-employment and on-going drug screen.

Responsibilities

Performs cleaning, housekeeping, and light maintenance tasks and services throughout assigned property including exterior such as parking lot.
Outside snow removal and operation snow removal equipment.
Sweep, mop and buff floors.
Trash pick-up and empties trash containers, add clean liners, including recycling as required by established standards.
Assists with the cleaning and sanitizing of shared facilities and common spaces such as restrooms, gym and occupied offices.
Put away cleaning materials and supplies where designated.
Replenish receptacle supplies such as towels, soaps, and toilet paper.
Washes inside and outside windows include glass doors and furniture.
Vacuums and cleans floors, rugs, carpet, furniture, and drapes.
Dust furniture and scrub surfaces clean.
Performs other related duties as required.
