About The Position

The Custodian performs general, routine custodial duties including dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking supplies. This role also involves performing routine maintenance on custodial equipment, emptying trash receptacles, and ensuring common areas are cleaned and stocked. The Custodian must follow instructions regarding chemical use and safety hazards, wash and buff floors, and maintain an orderly storage of cleaning materials. They are also responsible for submitting purchase requisitions, restocking supplies, noting equipment repair needs, and reporting any potential food safety, quality, or food defense concerns to management. Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices and all company policies and procedures is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs general, routine custodial duties, to include dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, and restocking paper and soap supplies
• Performs routine maintenance to custodial equipment and supplies
• Empties trash receptacles, hazard bins into a hazard barrel, disposes trash into compactors and/or dumpsters, and bags trash for proper disposal
• Ensure common areas such as break rooms, lobbies, and kitchenettes are cleaned and stocked
• Maintain breakroom
• Follow instructions about chemical use and safety hazards in the workplace
• Wash and buff floors including the manufacturing facility
• Ensure cleaning materials and supplies are stored safely and orderly
• Maintain, submit a purchase requisition, and restock cleaning materials and supplies
• Make note of the need for equipment repair
• Report any potential food safety, quality or food defense concerns to the plant manager or quality personnel
• Maintain product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality systems
• Follow all documented Good Manufacturing Practices
• Must follow all company policies and procedures
