About The Position

Welcome to Warner Bros. Discovery… the stuff dreams are made of. Our studios are considered one of the foremost motion picture and television production and post-production facilities in the world. They inform, engage, and transport audiences to new worlds. The key to that lies with our Studio Operations group, which includes areas like soundstage/backlot set rentals, events, design, culinary, construction, landscaping and much more. Whether it’s hosting an unforgettable studio tour, creating an optimal workspace, or equipping talent to tell the best stories, these teams lay the foundation for the memorable experiences we provide. As a custodian, you will be part of the team helping to maintain the beauty and cleanliness of this incredible space. We are looking for candidates with the right experience to help preserve our studio lot and the many office buildings our employees sit in. This role will be working during our overnight shift: 6:00pm - 2:30am.

Requirements

Must have a working knowledge of English.
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for many hours
Ability to perform repetitive motion for long periods of time
Experience with using cleaning equipment, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and cleaning solutions ( Material Safety Data Sheets “MSDS”)
Background in handling, mixing, and using cleaning chemicals
Knowledge of occupational hazards safety rules
A record of safe driving with at least 6 months of driving history and a valid CA driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

Prefer 1-2 years large commercial facilities (medical center, school campus, major hotel) janitorial experience.
Valid CA Driver’s License preferred (If you currently have an out-of-state license, make a record of your license number before you apply for an in-state license. We will need that out-of-state license number to check your driving history).

Responsibilities

Keep building and property in clean and orderly condition.
Perform heavy cleaning duties throughout our studio backlot offices and buildings
Sweep, mop, wax, or vacuum floors.
Gather and empty trash.
Scrub, sanitize, and supply restroom facilities (private offices and public)
Dust furniture, walls, and equipment.
Mix cleaning solutions and chemicals in containers in preparation for cleaning, according to instructions.
Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power machinery to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
Physical exertion requiring standing for long periods, walking, bending, lifting and maneuvering heavy weights up to 50+ lbs.
Driving responsibilities may include driving golf carts between buildings to transport cleaning supplies, both within the studio lot and on public road to get to other company buildings off-lot.
