About The Position
These Custodian positions are team members of the Wisconsin Union -Facilities Custodian Team. Duties include routine maintenance and cleaning, trash removal, snow removal, upkeep of the Memorial Union Terrace and other duties as needed. Work is both indoors and outdoors. Work is performed under the guidance of a Custodial Services Supervisor. Positions work at UW Madison- Memorial Union. (800 Langdon Street, Madison) and Union South (1308 West Dayton Street, Madison) -Schedule is: Multiple Temporary positions are available. These position are scheduled to go to the end of the Memorial Union Terrace Season, they cannot exceed 1040 hours. 1 position is: Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday 3pm-11pm 1 position is: Saturday - Wednesday 7am-11am 1 position is: Thursday - Monday 7am-11am 1 position is: Saturday - Sunday 7am - 3pm Days and times may change based on department needs. Applicants may be used for other temporary Custodian positions that may open. -This recruitment for filling open positions for up to 6 months or less when the position is filled.

Responsibilities
- Documents and reports repairs, violations, and pest control needs
- Utilizes basic equipment and supplies to clean assigned facility areas and remove waste and recyclables
- Maintains clean and clear walkways to ensure they are free of debris, litter, snow, and ice
- Monitors and secures facility interior and exterior entrances and reports issues to appropriate entities
- Maintains organization of supply areas and equipment, documents inventory, and requests additional supplies as needed
