Custodian – JLL What this job involves: As a Custodian at JLL, you'll play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant facility environment for our client. This position focuses on cleaning and sanitizing GMP-regulated areas, performing specialized floor care, and supporting facility operations through inventory control and adherence to safety protocols. Working the third shift, you'll ensure our facilities meet the highest standards of cleanliness and regulatory compliance while contributing to a safe and productive workplace for all occupants.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1 year with previous custodial and janitorial experience in a professional setting
  • Knowledge of and ability to comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards and safety procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods regularly
  • Skills to perform job functions with minimal supervision and adapt to physical demands including lifting, bending, and moving safely
  • Strong communication skills for both oral and written reporting

  • Proficiency with computer-based systems including Microsoft Office and Outlook (for work orders)
  • Experience with facility management documentation and reporting systems

Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitize GMP-regulated areas in accordance with established standards and documentation requirements, maintaining daily activity logs
  • Perform specialized floor care including stripping, cleaning, buffing, and applying floor sealer and finish to hard surface floors
  • Operate and maintain power equipment including auto scrubbers, extractors, high-pressure washers, high-speed buffers, and vacuums for cleaning floors, walls, carpets, and furniture
  • Mix cleaning solutions according to specifications and follow proper procedures for chemical cleaners and equipment to prevent damage to surfaces and fixtures
  • Vacuum and shampoo carpets as needed to maintain appearance and cleanliness standards
  • Assist with inventory control, enforce company and client policies, and report safety concerns to supervision
  • Support energy conservation efforts by turning off lights in vacant rooms and performing other assigned duties as needed
