About The Position

Under limited supervision, Custodians are responsible for cleaning and maintaining public and private facility areas, premises of office buildings, restrooms, hallways, and all assigned areas. Facilities Performance Group is a privately held corporation based in Hernando, Mississippi. For more than a decade, we have been delivering excellence in facilities support services to clients in a wide range of industries, including aviation, utilities, education, logistics, and manufacturing.

Requirements

• Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and practices; safety precautions related to cleaning equipment
• Ability to perform above duties which may involve standing, bending, and kneeling for periods of time, climbing stairs.
• Ability to follow instructions; operate commercial cleaning equipment.
• Ability to speak simple sentences, to read and interpret safety rules and to read chemical labels.
• Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required.
• A minimum of one (1) year of related experience in a similar service related position preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
• Washes windows and mirrors.
• Takes out the trash and recycling.
• Wipes down and sanitizes surfaces.
• Follows health/safety rules and precautions.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
