The Custodian will be responsible for the cleanliness and organization of their assigned area throughout the Beacon Theatre. This position will be responsible for the daily cleanliness of entire area as well as any daily or weekly special cleaning projects on a regular basis.

Requirements

• Custodial experience at an entertainment venue or large commercial property.
• Proficient at utilizing necessary equipment and safety requirements for said equipment.
• A high level of energy and commitment with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks at a time.
• Ability to work with various operating groups.
• Must be able to handle inclement weather, due to theatre doors being open.
• Comfortable with prolonged standing, bending, and walking; ability to climb and descend multiple flights of stairs while carrying equipment or supplies. Constant motion is often required.
• Must be able to work within an environment with loud noises and everchanging visuals.
• Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 50-70 lbs.
• This role involves trash, including bending and/or kneeling to pick trash up from floors and in between seats.
• Ensure safe handling, storage, and use of cleaning chemicals in accordance with manufacturer instructions and company safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) if needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility standards and assist in general cleaning.
• Sweeping floors, detail cleaning, cleaning spills, shampooing, dumping garbage, upkeep of restrooms during events and general maintenance of public areas.
• Handle facility equipment of different size and weights.
• Receive deliveries and perform additional duties as assigned.
• Ensure that MSG standards are always met and exceeded.
