About The Position

Sullivan University is seeking a part-time Custodian to join their team. This role is responsible for ensuring assigned custodial tasks are completed efficiently and on time, as well as assisting with event setups, floor maintenance, and coordinating various projects related to building upkeep. Requirements

Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
Two years related experience.
An equivalent combination of education and work experience may be considered.
Strong customer service skills.
Must be able to communicate via radio for instructions.
Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously and efficiently while meeting required deadlines.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate cleaning and set-up for special events.
Knowledge of applicable OSHA standards.
Knowledge of applicable safety practices and procedures.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

Conducts routes throughout the building offices to collect and dispose of trash.
Aids with the set up and break down of all campus events (Main Campus, Library, Bakery, COP/Nolan).
Moves/ transports furniture and miscellaneous items for campus related events (Main Campus, Library, Bakery, COP/Nolan).
Coordinates and schedules vacuuming of offices, hallways, and rooms as needed. (Main Campus, Library, Bakery, COP/Nolan).
Responsible for cleanliness of floors including the mopping of floors as required and as needed.
Assists with custodial related special projects for campus as needed.
Wipes down walls and whiteboards as needed.
Clean bathrooms though out the day and as needed.
Follows instructions regarding the use of chemicals and supplies.
Assists with custodial duties at other Sullivan University System locations as assigned.
Performs other duties as assigned.
