About The Position

The YMCA of Greater Erie is looking to hire a Custodian for its Glenwood Location. This role is ideal for someone who is active, conscientious, and task-oriented, and enjoys keeping things running smoothly and contributing to a civic organization. The Custodian will be responsible for keeping the building and property clean, well-functioning, and problem-free, ensuring assigned areas are clean, up-to-date, and ready for children, staff, and clients daily. This role is more than just collecting trash, mopping, and fixing things; the hard work contributes to providing a safe, clean, and sanitary facility for all to enjoy.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age
Must be able to complete assigned job duties with minimal supervision.
Must be able to lift and move items over 50 pounds
Ability to pass a background check
Ability to pass a physical
Ability to acquire appropriate certifications within 90 days
Basic understanding of building maintenance and cleaning agents.
Patient and able to remain self-motivated to complete assigned tasks.
Enjoys working independently and staying active throughout the day.
