About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment in office buildings, schools, and common areas throughout Greenville, SC. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and customer service while working independently and efficiently.

Requirements

Must successfully pass a background check, including fingerprinting.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
E-Verify participation required; documentation must be provided upon hire.
Reliable transportation and dependable attendance required.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout an 8-hour shift.
Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
Ability to push and maneuver cleaning carts, vacuums, mops, and other janitorial equipment.
Ability to climb stairs and work on multiple floors of a facility.
Ability to perform repetitive cleaning motions, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and wiping surfaces.
Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with company procedures.
Must be able to work in varying indoor environments and around cleaning odors and products.
Previous custodial, janitorial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude.

Responsibilities

Sweep and damp mop hard-surface floors.
Vacuum and spot-clean carpeted areas.
Clean entrance lobby floors.
Sweep and/or vacuum stairways.
Sweep and damp mop kitchen and break room floors.
Clean and disinfect floors, fixtures, toilets, urinals, and sinks.
Clean mirrors, partitions, and tile walls.
Empty trash and sanitary receptacles.
Restock paper products, soap, and hygiene supplies.
Dust furniture, windowsills, ledges, and office equipment.
Clean glass doors, partitions, and glass-top surfaces.
Clean break rooms, kitchens, coffee stations, and appliances.
Sanitize drinking fountains and common touchpoints.
Empty waste receptacles and replace liners.
Maintain janitorial closets in a clean and organized manner.
Ensure facilities are secured at the end of each shift by checking locks and alarms as assigned.
Adhere to company dress code and maintain a neat, professional appearance.
Report to work on time and as scheduled.
Wear required identification while on duty.
Represent the organization in a positive and professional manner.
Comply with all company policies, procedures, and ethical standards.
Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
