About The Position

This position is responsible for cleaning and maintaining buildings and grounds to ensure neatness and cleanliness. It also involves washing, folding, and storing laundry and linens for the emergency shelter program, and assisting the public in unloading and carrying donations or other items.

Requirements

  • Six months of experience performing general housekeeping duties OR Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms.
  • Sweeps, vacuums, mops, and waxes floors.
  • Empties trash cans regularly and collects trash from the grounds.
  • Washes, folds, and stores linens for emergency shelter dorm.
  • Stocks and sorts janitorial supplies.
  • Assists in setting up meeting rooms with tables and chairs.
  • May drive Salvation Army vehicle to pickup/deliver items or transport passengers.
