About The Position

The Oregon Military Department is a state agency that supports the Oregon National Guard. This position is recruiting for a Custodian. This is a permanent full-time state position located at Camp Withycombe in Clackamas, Oregon. This position is represented by the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees’ (AFSCME) union. This recruitment announcement will be used to establish a list of qualified candidates to fill the current vacancy and may be used to fill future vacancies as they occur. Requirements

One year of custodial experience that includes using supplies and equipment used in custodial services.
Must be 18 years of age.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Must have and maintain a favorable Criminal background History check and be able to obtain and maintain a favorable Department of Defense National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) Suitability Determination (T1).
Employee is required to maintain a drug/alcohol free workplace in accordance with OMD Drug/Alcohol CPM’s, Policies, and the Statewide Drug Free Workplace Policy 50-000-01.

Responsibilities

Provide janitorial services for the 41st AFRC.
Works in an environment containing dust, odors, loud noises, and chemicals.
Works from ladders to clean walls and change lights.
Exposed to unsanitary conditions, hazardous chemicals, and materials.
Work involves stooping and reaching for extended periods.
Works in varied weather conditions.
Required to lift at least 30 pounds and carry heavy objects.
Must perform duties in Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
May be required to work outside normal duty hours to accommodate emergency requirements.
