About The Position
As a Custodian, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and functionality of our campus facilities, contributing to the overall well-being and satisfaction of students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for a variety of custodial tasks, including cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, common areas, and other designated spaces according to established standards and schedules.
Requirements
- Ability to climb ladders to reach high places including replacing ceiling light bulbs
- Ability to move heavy furniture
- Ability to lift heavy boxes (50 – 75 pounds)
- Ability to operate heavy cleaning equipment
- Ability to mop extensive area
- Possess organizational skills
- Ability to work well with others
Nice To Haves
- Prior related job experience (1 – 2 years)
- Training or prior experience in use of cleaning equipment and job functions
Responsibilities
- Cleaning campus buildings including: mopping, stripping and/or finishing floors, cleaning areas requiring use of ladder, operating heavy cleaning equipment, rodent and pest control and moving furniture or classroom building materials.
