About The Position

This is an on-call substitute custodian position. Hours are not guaranteed and could fluctuate between day shift and night shift. The role involves maintaining assigned equipment, ensuring storage spaces are clean and orderly, and managing supplies. The custodian is expected to wear clean and appropriate attire, model punctuality and attendance, and perform general custodial and maintenance duties.

Requirements

High School graduate or equivalent.
Ability to work with and around adults and students.
Ability to do heavy manual labor.
Possess a Washington State driver's license.
Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint Clearance.

Previous custodial experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintains assigned equipment in a safe working order, cleaned and serviced properly.
Ensures storage spaces remain clean and orderly.
Inventories supplies and maintains them in a secure place, providing notification if supplies are depleted.
Works in clean and appropriate clothing for public appearance.
Models and maintains exemplary punctuality and attendance.
Performs general custodial and maintenance duties including floor care (sweeping, washing, stripping, waxing), carpet care (vacuuming, spotting, extracting), window washing, graffiti removal, changing lights, cleaning fixtures, cleaning walls, desks, lockers, countertops, waste disposal, picking up garbage in parking lots, grounds, and playfields, and sweeping sidewalks, and snow/ice removal.
