About The Position
Jenkins Independent Schools is seeking a Custodian to maintain the cleanliness and safety of school grounds and facilities. This role involves performing a variety of cleaning tasks, monitoring building security, and reporting any necessary repairs. Both morning and evening shifts are available.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED (experience may substitute for diploma/certification).
- Custodial experience preferred.
- Must pass a clean drug screen.
- Must pass a TB skin test.
- Valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Clean, sanitize, and sterilize surfaces according to health and safety regulations.
- Perform regular tasks such as sweeping, mopping, disinfecting, dusting, and emptying trash.
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies.
- Monitor building security and safety, including locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance usage to prevent hazards.
- Clean school grounds, removing debris and safety hazards to ensure a clean environment.
- Notify the manager of any repairs that need to be completed.
