About The Position

CoolIT Systems is looking for an experienced Custodian, Facilities to join our Calgary Facilities team. This role will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and safety across our facilities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a clean, orderly environment for staff and visitors by performing routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions
• Must be physically capable of standing, bending, lifting (up to 30 lbs), and performing repetitive tasks
• Reliable attendance and punctuality required

Nice To Haves

• Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial or industrial setting

Responsibilities

• Daily building start-up activities such as Sweep, mop, vacuum, and clean floors in hallways, offices, and common areas.
• Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste in designated areas.
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and floors.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet paper.
• Dust and clean furniture, windows, and fixtures.
• Set up and take down furniture and equipment for events or meetings
• Report maintenance issues or damages to supervisor.
• Operating floor cleaning unit frequently on production floor space.
• Follow all safety protocols and use cleaning chemicals properly.
• Perform minor repairs or assist with basic facility maintenance as needed.
