About The Position

The primary purpose of this position is to help Cornerstone Church achieve its mission of “helping people know Jesus and make him known,” by cleaning and maintaining the facility. This includes helping to create an atmosphere where learning and worship experiences are pleasant for all but especially for first time guests.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous custodial or maintenance experience preferred but not required.
  • Potential to be available for Sunday service custodial support for ministries.

Responsibilities

  • Cleaning the facilities both interior and exterior.
  • Gather, bag and transport recycle materials and trash to dumpsters provided on site.
  • Use a variety of products to clean various surfaces including (but not limited to) carpet, concrete and tile floors, counter tops, furniture, doors, hardware, light fixtures, mirrors, walls, windows, and toilets.
  • Regularly using the washer and dryer in the kitchen pantry to clean the micro-fiber cloths, mop heads, cleaning rags, etc.
  • Read, understand, and use the building schedule to ensure that rooms are clean, reset, and ready as needed for classes, meetings, and other needs. This includes setting up and taking down tables and chairs and rearranging furniture for various functions.
  • Transports tables and chairs from, and back to, storage locations.
  • Replace burnt out lights bulbs as needed and assist with maintenance projects as able.
  • Replace paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap, and sanitizers throughout the building.
  • Keep inventory and notify manager when products are low.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled custodial team and staff meetings/gatherings.
  • Communicate directly and often with ministry leaders to ensure their spaces are always ready for use.
  • Required to float between 84th Street, Heritage Hill, and South Wyoming Campus as needed.
  • Manages volunteers as needed for inside areas and grounds cleaning.
  • Be onsite for large events such as weddings, funerals, to provide ongoing custodial support, and to assist with cleaning afterwards.
