About The Position
The Custodian ensures a clean and safe environment for residents, visitors, and staff by performing a variety of housekeeping and maintenance duties. This role includes cleaning resident rooms, common areas, and facility grounds, while adhering to all safety, infection control, and operational guidelines.
Requirements
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate and maintain housekeeping equipment safely and effectively
- Physical stamina to walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift (up to 60 lbs) frequently
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment
- Good communication skills and ability to interact courteously with residents, staff, and visitors
- Flexibility to handle multiple responsibilities and respond to changing priorities
- Knowledge of safety procedures, infection control practices, and proper use of cleaning chemicals
