About The Position

To play an integral part in ensuring a safe, attractive, comfortable, clean and efficient environment for students to learn and develop.

Less than a high school diploma
MSDS and blood born pathogens training .
Less than one year experience in custodial work is preferred
Ability to communicate and work well with staff, parents and children.
Vacuum Cleaning

General hand tools
Must use own initiative and judgment in performing job.
Performs as directed; responsible for own job under direct supervision.
Routine work with little planning needed
Periodic exposure to hazardous materials such as blood born pathogens, high voltage, gas and heights.
Sit approximately 0% of the time
Walk approximately 90% of the time
Stand approximately 5% of the time
Kneeling / Stooping approximately 5% of the time
Lift on a regular basis 30 to 40 lbs.
Reaching with hands and arms on a regular basis
Ability to wear respirator and gloves as needed
Willingness to be an integral member of a successful team.

Deliver equipment and supplies
Cleans restrooms as needed
Setting-up and taking-down of all school-related activities and events.
Moves furniture and equipment as needed
Raises the United States Flag before school and retires the flag after school hours.
Report’s safety hazards and the need for major and minor repairs.
Keeps grounds free rubbish.
Sweeps, vacuums, dusts, and empty trash as needed.
Cleans corridors, when warranted, during the day.
Assists the maintenance technician.
Assists with securing the buildings
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Communicate with Supervisor when problems occur.
