About The Position

The Custodian position is responsible for housekeeping, custodial care, and cleaning of the building, as well as maintenance of grounds and general building maintenance. This role also involves electrical, plumbing, and carpentry maintenance, reporting the need for repairs, and managing stock and supplies.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Knowledge of custodial practices
• Skill in operating cleaning and other equipment, and their procedures
• Familiarity with and ability to utilize hand and power tools
• Familiarity with the proper use of chemicals
• Ability to work on ladders or elevated platforms not to exceed 10' in height
• Ability to engage others with understanding and empathy
• Must be flexible with a positive attitude
• Routinely able to lift 50 lbs
• Maintain valid driver's license in state of residence
• Maintain a clean driving abstract
