About The Position
The Custodian will assist the plant manager in maintaining the safety, security, cleanliness, and appearance of the physical plant. This role involves a variety of cleaning tasks, responding to requests, and performing other duties as assigned by management. The position requires the ability to work in various weather conditions and may involve overtime, split shifts, and weekend work. The employee is expected to provide and wear appropriate clothing for the conditions.
Requirements
- Must be able to read and comprehend service order and repair request documents.
- Must be able to read and write.
- Must be able to comprehend instructions on the operation of equipment of all types and on the use of chemicals used in cleaning operations.

- Ability to conduct activities in group settings maintaining an objective attitude, decorum, and diplomacy, tact, and discretion.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of halls and entrances.
- Clean walls and windows.
- Check dressing rooms.
- Clean classroom units as specified in accordance with the working schedule and minimum cleaning schedule specific school needs.
- Be responsive to the coordinator, plant manager, and/or assistant custodian where appropriate.
- Perform all other duties as required by the plant manager or Coordinator of Maintenance & Custodial Services.
