About The Position

The Custodian performs routine manual work in housekeeping and cleaning of interior spaces and immediate exterior areas. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, polishes and dusts furniture, and cleans restrooms, windows, blinds, mirrors, etc. in buildings across campus. Typical duties include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, polishing, dusting furniture, cleaning restrooms, windows, blinds, and mirrors.

Requirements

• Must be able to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Final candidates must submit to and successfully pass a post-offer drug screen.
• Ability to lift, handle, and maneuver the tools, materials, and supplies of the job (up to 50lbs).
• Ability to walk and/or stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to reach and lift arms above head.
• Ability to kneel, bend, or stoop.
• Must be comfortable working around pets.
• Prior to hiring, the final candidate(s) must successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation and information obtained from social media and other internet sources.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Have a valid U.S. driver's license, be at least 21 years of age, and have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report as determined by the insurance carrier.
