About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of assigned areas. Responsibilities may include cleaning assigned areas; setting up for events; and/or training new staff.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)
• Related experience preferred
• Valid State of Michigan Driver’s License
• Knowledge of applicable tools and equipment
• Knowledge of basic cleaning techniques
• Knowledge of applicable cleaning chemicals
• Knowledge of safe work practices
• Knowledge of methods of training staff
• Knowledge of supply and equipment ordering
• Ability to clean work areas
• Ability to set up for events
• Ability to train staff
• Ability to utilize communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with coworkers, supervisor, the general public, and others sufficient to exchange or convey information and to receive work direction.

Responsibilities

• Cleans assigned areas, including: waxing floors; vacuuming floors; washing windows; emptying trash; and cleaning restrooms.
• Sets up chairs, tables, and stages for events.
• Trains and/or monitors staff to ensure proper completion of work.
• Orders equipment and supplies.
• Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance, including attendance at required meetings.
