About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation across the facility, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing, and sanitizing various areas. This role involves operating and maintaining cleaning equipment, managing waste disposal, stocking supplies, and ensuring compliance with company cleanliness and safety standards. Additional tasks may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

Must be able to operate a floor scrubber and basic cleaning equipment.
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and stay on task.
Strong work ethic and commitment to workplace cleanliness.
Must be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 40 lbs for extended periods.
Reliable, punctual, and detail-focused.

Nice To Haves

Previous janitorial or custodial experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting preferred.

Responsibilities

Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, shampooing and sanitizing floors, restrooms, and common areas.
Washing walls and cleaning glass partitions, and mirrors and removing rubbish.
Empty and clean breakroom coolers.
Emptying trash receptacles and ensuring proper waste disposal.
Using and maintaining cleaning equipment like floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other specialized machinery.
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
Deep clean and disinfect breakroom, restrooms, and high touch areas regularly.
Ensuring restrooms and cleaning stations are adequately stocked with necessary supplies (soap, paper towels, toilet paper, gloves).
Clean spills using a sweeper, shovel, or any other equipment as necessary.
Monitor cleaning supply inventory and report low stock to the appropriate personnel.
Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with company cleanliness and safety standards.
