About The Position

Ipswich Middle/High School is seeking a full-time, union, benefited, custodial position. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. Candidates must be able to perform all the duties associated with the custodial position, including, but not limited, to the following: Cleaning, Washing, Sanitization of entire school grounds such as bathrooms, classrooms, offices etc. Mopping, stripping and waxing of various flooring systems Vacuuming, shampooing and cleaning of rugs Moving and assembly of furniture and equipment Handling of trash, recycling and composting Perform School grounds and building health and safety checks Perform School grounds and building security checks Perform minor maintenance including painting, repairs, changing bulbs etc. Perform minor fields and grounds maintenance as needed Must be able and available for snow removal and other events which may require over time Must be able to handle various equipment such as but limited not to the following: Floor Machines Snow Blower The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to do this job.
