About The Position

The Custodian is responsible for general housekeeping and minor maintenance of the buildings, grounds, and other duties as assigned. Duties may include but are not limited to moving equipment and furniture as necessary. Provide floor care including stripping and waxing, buffing, and dust mopping, damp mopping and carpet care as scheduled. Clean the buildings, including offices, hallways, meeting rooms, and classrooms. Clean, sanitize, and restock the restrooms. Remove the trash in the buildings and deposit it into a container for removal from campus.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid NC Driver's License within 60 days of employment and be insurable at standard rate.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds, bend, stoop, grasp, reach, and stand for extended periods of time.
• Ability to use various cleaning agents to include floor wax, cleaner, and disinfectant.
