About The Position
The Custodian is responsible for performing routine custodial duties in assigned areas to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment. This includes cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, classrooms, offices, and other facilities, as well as emptying trash receptacles, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors. The Custodian may also be responsible for minor maintenance tasks and reporting any facility issues to supervisors.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous custodial or janitorial experience preferred.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
