About The Position
Sarat Ford Lincoln is seeking a dedicated Custodian & Maintenance professional to join our team in Agawam, MA. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our facility is clean, safe, and well-maintained to provide a welcoming environment for our employees and customers.
Requirements
- Previous experience in custodial or maintenance work preferred.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, supplies, and equipment.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new procedures and standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting.
- Maintain restrooms, break rooms, and common areas to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Conduct regular inspections of the building and grounds to identify maintenance needs.
- Carry out basic repair and maintenance tasks such as fixing leaks, replacing light bulbs, and minor carpentry work.
- Operate and maintain custodial equipment and supplies in a safe and efficient manner.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment and furniture for events or meetings.
- Report major repair or safety concerns to management promptly.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
