About The Position
This is a long-term substitute custodian assignment for a period of approximately three months, from August 10, 2026, through November 9, 2026. The position is 40 hours per week, with a schedule of Monday through Friday from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The hourly rate for this position is $21.84.
Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent.
- Must have acceptable MA CORI and SAFIS National Fingerprint Background Checks prior to employment.
Nice To Haves
- MA Class D Driver’s License preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, such as sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, washing floors, cleaning restrooms, polishing and waxing furniture, polishing and waxing floors, and cleaning common areas.
- May open building(s); unlocks doors, turn on lights, checks heating and cooling systems, etc.; may close building(s); lock doors, secures building(s).
- Replaces lights and performs minor repairs to furniture, buildings, and equipment; shovels snow: may be required to maintain grounds surrounding buildings.
- May perform minor carpentry, plumbing, and electrical duties as directed; operates heating and cooling systems including thermostat, and safety controls; moves and sets up furniture and equipment: collects and disposes of refuse.
- May perform other similar or related duties as required or as situation dictates.
