About The Position

Boston College is seeking a Custodian III for the 3rd shift, working Monday-Friday from 11pm to 7:30am. This role involves a variety of housekeeping duties and physical labor.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to perform heavy and repetitive physical labor, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to communicate/comprehend both verbally and in writing, including reading and understanding work schedules and label warnings, writing work orders, taking direction, and communicating with staff, students, and faculty.
• Must provide information verifying a valid driver's license, submit a DMV driving record, and comply with University guidelines regarding insurability.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, vacuuming, removal of trash, project work, recycling, spot cleaning carpets and brite work.
• Performing major project work including machining and refinishing floors, shampooing carpets and washing walls.
• Clearing trash from entrance ways and removing snow during the winter.
